Youth Master Plan

A city where every young person thrives

A 10-year roadmap to improve the lives of children and youth across New Orleans.

Built with the voices of young people, families, community members, and sector leaders, the Youth Master Plan charts a path toward a city where every child has access to opportunity, support, and belonging. Together, we're advancing a shared vision for the next generation of New Orleanians.

About the plan

The Youth Master Plan is a citywide strategy designed to improve outcomes for young people from birth through age 24. The plan identifies 30 interconnected solutions across six key areas: Learning, Health & Well-Being, Economic Stability, Safety & Justice, Space & Place, and Youth Voice.

Our focus areas

Youth-led and community-driven

The Youth Master Plan was built by listening to young people and the communities that support them.

The plan combines community wisdom, youth leadership, and evidence-based strategies to drive lasting change. It establishes both short-term and long-term goals, clear accountability measures, and coordinated action across sectors.
